The Wedding Service
We want to ensure the service itself is planned really well for you both with the member of clergy who will be leading the service.
When you meet with them you can expect to begin to discuss and think about what Bible readings and hymns will be included. The Church of England have produced a helpful guide with some suggestions in addition to lots more information about the service.

Preparing for Marriage
There are lots of important parts that go into getting ready and preparing for your wedding day. Most important of all though is as a couple being prepared well to start your married lives together. To help with this, we ask each couple to take part in a Marriage Preparation Course.
It is designed to provide you both space to think and talk through over 5 sessions the following key areas;
learning to communicate well
appreciating one another’s differences
exploring beliefs and values
embracing commitment
building a healthy and supportive relationship
Once you get in touch and a wedding date is set, the member of clergy will be able to discuss with you when to do the course.
Banns of Marriage
If you live in the Christ the Redeemer’s parish [check here] but are getting married in a different Anglican Church, you will need to have your banns read at Christ the Redeemer.
Banns readings need to take place over 3 consecutive Sundays within the 3 months before you get married, so please make sure you contact us in plenty of time.
